The vision for T&B Play began with an empty 480sqm commercial space located at 1068 W 14 Mile Rd, Clawson, MI 48017. The client wanted to transform this site into a warm, colorful indoor playground where children aged 6–12 could play freely, while parents felt equally comfortable spending extended time inside the venue. Lemfun’s design objective was to create a visually distinctive Macaroon-themed indoor playground that balances playful aesthetics with practical spatial organization. From the earliest rendering stage, the space was planned as a family-oriented destination rather than a single-purpose play area, ensuring both children and adults feel welcomed in this Clawson, Michigan location.
The design logic focused on responding directly to the client’s operational needs. In addition to diverse play functions, the layout needed to incorporate a well-defined dining area to increase dwell time and overall revenue. Through careful spatial planning, Lemfun divided the 480sqm area into clear functional zones, separating active play areas from quieter seating and dining spaces while maintaining smooth flow throughout the venue. Sightlines were carefully controlled so parents dining nearby could easily supervise their children. This zoning strategy ensures safety, comfort, and operational efficiency, forming the foundation of a Customized indoor playground design proposal tailored specifically to the site at 1068 W 14 Mile Rd, Clawson, MI 48017.
The details of the project are defined by the Macaroon theme, which drives both color selection and form language. Soft pastel tones such as blush pink, mint green, vanilla cream, and lavender were used to create a gentle yet engaging atmosphere. Rounded shapes, layered structures, and smooth transitions between materials reinforce the dessert-inspired aesthetic while maintaining clean and modern design standards. The dining area continues the Macaroon visual language with coordinated colors and finishes, ensuring visual consistency across the entire playground. This cohesive approach positions T&B Play as a standout Macaroon Playcenter Indoor playground in Michigan, offering a refined balance between play, relaxation, and visual appeal.
