Step 1: The Brief

When our interior design team at Lemfun received the commission for momoland playhouse, the goal was to transform a prominent 380sqm commercial retail unit at 100 Tai Ho Road, Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong, 2/F, Ocean View Shopping Centre, Shops 2108-2115, 2129A-2131 into an active family entertainment centerpiece. The client requested a soft, whimsical Macaroon color aesthetic integrated across a multi-functional play environment. Programmatic requirements demanded a multi-tiered maze play area, an expansive kids ball pool, a high-velocity donuts slide, an interactive kids trampoline zone, and an immersive kids role play house. Crucially, the brief required an architectural layout capable of engaging toddlers and young children while providing sufficient scale, physical challenge, and digital interactivity suitable for teenagers and adults. The client aimed to establish momoland playhouse as the benchmark Macaroon Themed Customized Indoor Playground in HongKong.

Step 2: The Challenge

Translating this vision into an operational venue at 100 Tai Ho Road, Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong, 2/F, Ocean View Shopping Centre, Shops 2108-2115, 2129A-2131 presented distinct spatial planning and engineering obstacles typical of high-density retail environments. Managing a 380sqm floor plate required careful structural integration around ceiling heights, utility soffits, and building column grids without restricting foot traffic flow or emergency egress.

Designing for a wide age demographic meant balancing high-energy active play (such as trampolines and dynamic slides) with gentle, imaginative play spaces (like the role play village) within the same contiguous footprint. Furthermore, executing a Macaroon visual language—composed of soft pastel yellow, mint green, blush pink, and warm coral—demanded strict chromatic control. Without careful spatial zoning and lighting integration, a Macaroon palette across a dense array of play structures can risk visual overload. We needed to ensure structural floor load compliance, maintain open sightlines for parental supervision, and maximize usable vertical volume.

Step 3: The Solution

To resolve these site constraints, Lemfun leveraged its capabilities as a premier hot sale custom indoor playground manufacturer to engineer custom-fabricated, modular play equipment tailored specifically to the structural geometry of 100 Tai Ho Road, Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong, 2/F, Ocean View Shopping Centre, Shops 2108-2115, 2129A-2131. Our design team partitioned the 380sqm layout into interconnected, specialized functional zones:

Multi-Deck Macaroon Maze & Wave Slide Arena: Built on heavy-duty 80*80mm galvanized steel framework wrapped in high-density yellow and pastel safety padding, the main multi-level play maze features suspended crawl tunnels, obstacle bridges, and the "Rainbow Cyber Port" elevated walkway. This deck feeds directly into multi-lane wave slides and a steep donuts slide, launching riders into a vast kids ball pool filled with thousands of orange, mint green, and white Macaroon spheres. The surrounding perimeter walls feature integrated digital interactive wall projectors, blending physical ball play with motion-tracking arcade games.

Interactive Digital Trampoline Zone: Engineered to accommodate older children, teenagers, and participating adults, the trampoline area utilizes high-tension jumping mats encased in bright butter-yellow padded safety frame borders. Facing the trampoline beds are flush wall-mounted gaming monitors running interactive digital platformer games, allowing jumpers to control on-screen avatars in real time through motion sensors.

Pastel Role Play Village: Positioned in a lower-noise sector of the 380sqm venue, the kids role play house zone features a sweet pastel neighborhood aesthetic. It includes a custom mint-green mini supermarket equipped with realistic wooden fruit stalls and shopping carts, an adjoining blush-pink play kitchen with detailed cabinetry, and a central elevated treehouse sanctuary illuminated with soft ambient LED strip lighting.

Spatial Flow & Circulation: Perimeter thoroughfares throughout 100 Tai Ho Road, Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong, 2/F, Ocean View Shopping Centre, Shops 2108-2115, 2129A-2131 were calculated with generous clearance widths, allowing parents clear, uninhibited sightlines into every sub-zone from adjacent seating areas while maintaining smooth traffic circulation during peak operational hours.

Conclusion

The completion of momoland playhouse at 100 Tai Ho Road, Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong, 2/F, Ocean View Shopping Centre, Shops 2108-2115, 2129A-2131 exemplifies Lemfun's approach to custom indoor play architecture. By integrating a sweet, harmonious Macaroon aesthetic with advanced digital interactivity and structural engineering, we successfully converted a 380sqm commercial envelope into a high-capacity, multi-generational play destination.
