At the onset of the Playcious Mississauga project, the client’s vision was crystal clear: to establish a premier family entertainment destination in the heart of Mississauga that challenged traditional playground aesthetics. The goal was to move away from high-contrast primary colors in favor of a sophisticated, "Sweet Dream" macaroon-inspired palette.  As the lead design team at Lemfun, we were tasked with creating a comprehensive macaroon themed kids indoor playland for business that maximized a 360sqm footprint. The brief required a versatile mix of high-energy physical challenges and imaginative zones, including a maze play area, a volcano climbing game, a dedicated soft play area for toddlers, a kids role play house, and a high-throughput go-cart area.  

The site at 75 Courtneypark Dr W presented specific spatial planning hurdles. Integrating a dynamic go cart area alongside a large-scale maze and a volcano climbing game required meticulous flow management to prevent bottlenecks and ensure safety for various age groups.  Furthermore, sourcing and manufacturing Macaroon Themed Indoor Playground Equipment in Canada required a perfect balance of aesthetics and engineering. All materials—including mint green, strawberry pink, and lemon yellow PVC coatings and high-density foam—had to be color-matched precisely to the macaroon theme while adhering to strict TSSA and ASTM safety standards. The challenge lay in ensuring that the soft, delicate look of the equipment did not compromise its industrial-grade durability or safety compliance.  

Lemfun’s design solution utilized a "Zoned Integration" strategy to transform the 360sqm unit into a high-capacity play environment.  Vertical Integration (Maze & Volcano): We utilized the vertical height of the facility to house a three-level maze play area. This structure features macaroon-colored protective netting and soft padding, seamlessly transitioning into the volcano climbing game. This centerpiece uses a high-density foam core and non-slip skins, allowing children to climb to the summit and slide into a premium ball pit.  Creative & Sensory Zones: To encourage imaginative growth, we designed a kids role play house cluster featuring custom-made facades in pastel tones. Adjacent to this is the soft play area, specifically engineered for toddlers with low-impact materials and sensory panels that maintain the overarching macaroon aesthetic.  Dynamic Racing: The go cart area was assigned a dedicated circuit on the ground floor. By using customized pastel-toned safety barriers, we integrated the racing zone into the theme while ensuring a controlled environment for young drivers.  

The completion of Playcious Mississauga stands as a flagship example of Lemfun’s ability to blend high-end aesthetics with functional spatial planning.
